The Why
Discipleship Academy is a program designed to let students and their families take control of their confirmation experience as they learn to live a life of discipleship. Students are free to choose many of the topics they will enjoy learning. The academy model is set up in a way that anyone 6th grade and older can go through the program (even adults), and allows each student to progress at their own pace. Students have the ability to complete the program in as little as 18 months or as long as 4+ years. This process allows our students to feel empowered and ready to commit to a life of baptismal promises.
Expectations
As part of the Discipleship Academy, students will be asked to complete the following requirements in whatever timetable they choose.
We will confirm students who have completed the program, and their exit interview by September of any given year. The Rite of Confirmation Service will take place on Reformation Sunday, the last Sunday in October annually.

Exit InterviewAn exit interview is required with one of our faith formation staff (Pastor Tim or Kai) at the conclusion of the Discipleship Academy.

Each student will check in bi-annually with the Outreach & Youth Ministry Coordinator to help keep track of their progress in the program.
